Hixson & Associates has established a close working relationship with other independent consultants and small firms to provide experienced senior professionals to fill particular roles on projects.  Our services are performed in the manner of a single firm, but our clients get the advantage of more experienced professionals directly working on their project for a given billing rate.  In addition, there is the substantial benefit that all team members are principals of their own business and bring that orientation to their work on behalf of our Clients.

Steven Hixson
Mr. Hixson is active in all projects and takes primary responsibility for real estate development and transactions, entitlement coordination and budget coordination.  Prior to establishing Hixson & Associates Mr. Hixson held senior positions in major Architectural and Development organizations.  He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and a Masters degree in Architecture. 

Michael Shiffman
Michael is a real estate executive, California attorney and real estate broker with over thirty years of experience and billions of dollars in transaction management with a very broad background and extensive experience in managing all types of real estate transactions from start to finish.  He has an extensive international client base focusing on U.S. real estate investments. 

Bob Borinstein (R. Borinstein Company)
Mr. Borinstein takes primary responsibility for Project Management and Construction Management.  He has been with Hixson & Associates for more than two years and has 23 years of experience in construction as a general contractor project manager and estimator.  Projects include office buildings, restoration of historic structures, a new gymnasium, library, and theater facilities for private schools, high-end tenant improvements, computer data center and a collegiate athletic training facility.

Paul Waszink  (P. H. Waszink, Construction Consultant)
Paul Waszink has 30 years experience as a cost estimator, general contractor and project manager.  He has extremely strong skills as a construction cost estimator, particularly at the earliest stage of projects, and gives Hixson & Associates cost estimating resources unique in the industry.

Marty Zwick  (Zwick Architects)
Marty Zwick is the principal of an architectural firm located in Sausalito California.  Zwick Architects has branch offices in San Diego and Victoria Canada.  Mr. Zwick has collaborated with Hixson & Associates almost since our inception providing planning, conceptual design, entitlement support and full architectural services for a wide variety of development opportunities and construction projects.  Zwick Architects gives us a reliable "in-house" architectural capability. 

Bill Christofferson
Mr. Christofferson has 30 years experience as a consultant construction manager, general contractor and corporate facilities manager at Bechtel.  His experience includes:  financial analysis construction/project management, building operations and maintenance, facilities planning and office services.  He is currently located near Grass Valley CA and assists us on an as-needed basis.

Gee Heckscher
Mr. Heckscher has 35 years experience as a general contractor project manager and a senior project manager and technical advisor to a major architectural firm.  We have been collaborating with him on various projects for over ten years.  He has recently established himself as an independent construction consultant located in Port Townsend Washington and we look forward to having him as a local resource in our Pacific Northwest projects.
